Shaun Bartlett has penned a new two-year contract at Cape Town Spurs.
The former Bafana Bafana striker has been rewarded for his efforts this past season, which saw Spurs promoted to the DStv Premiership for the first time since their relegation (as Ajax Cape Town) in 2018.
Bartlett had initially joined in October 2021 with the club embroiled in a relegation battle, and then guided them to second place in 2022/23 before navigating the challenges of Casric Stars and Maritzburg United in the playoffs - a truly incredible change in fortunes.
“Cape Town Spurs are pleased to announce that Shaun Bartlett has extended his contract for a further two years. We wish Shaun all the best for the new season,” a club statement read.
Spurs is the second club Bartlett has led to promotion following his heroics with Golden Arrows in 2015.
