Former SuperSport United captain Ricardo Katza says having the right people along for the ride on your footballing journey is half the battle won.
The former centre-back, who made 215 starts for Matsatsantsa and well over 100 for Hellenic, says he decided early in his career not to bow to social pressures or live above his means, and both have served him well as he makes a success of his life after football as Sports Director at King's College in Bryanston, Johannesburg.
Katza, who also won 20 Bafana Bafana caps and captained the team at the Gold Cup, adds that having people at your side who have the right intentions will go a long way to ensuring success, both on and off the field.
